Community impact

As a company, we work to Do What’s Right and make a positive impact. We do this in our daily work to deliver essential food, feed and fuel, but also by investing in communities where we operate through various sponsorships and donations.

Guided by a global contributions policy, we focus on promoting the economic, social, and climate resilience of communities by empowering and supporting partners and non-profit organisations.

We will consider sponsorship and donation requests that support the communities in which we operate. Please send requests to sponsorships@bunge.com, with all relevant information and providing a reasonable timeframe for requests to be considered.

Farmer group support

We offer both financial and in-kind support to a wide range of farmer groups, including:

  • MacKillop Farm Management Group (MFMG)
  • South Australian Durum Growers Association (SADGA)
  • HART Field Day Site Group
  • Upper North Farming Systems (UNFS)
  • Northern Sustainable Soils (NSS)
  • Buckleboo Farm Improvement Group (BFIG)
  • Ag Innovation & Research Eyre Peninsula (AIR EP)
  • Mid-North High Rainfall Zone grower group.

These groups deliver independent, farmer-led research, building agricultural knowledge and capabilities to advance the grain industry.

Fat Farmers

In 2026 we announced a three-year partnership with Fat Farmers, to support the health and wellbeing of rural and regional communities.

Fat Farmers started in 2012 as a group of friends on the Yorke Peninsula trying to get healthier together and has since grown into a nationwide network of fitness groups in more than 80 rural and regional towns.

Through this sponsorship, we aim to help foster a stronger, healthier future for the regional communities where we operate and many of our team members live and work. We plan to use our national network to support Fat Farmers as they continue to grow Australia-wide.

Country connect programme

After two successful years of working with the Adelaide Football Club to support regional footy through a series of our Country connect events, we renewed our partnership for another year in 2026.

Our partnership is centred on past and present Crows AFL and AFLW players travelling to regional areas to participate in local football club match day activities, support evening club events and host junior football clinics. Through this programme we aim to support the communities that support our business by providing a unique experience close to home.

We are proud to encourage the next generation of AFL and AFLW players through this partnership.

20 cents a tonne sponsorship programme

We sponsor more than 60 sporting clubs and community groups around Australia through our 20 cents a tonne programme, through which we donate 20 cents to a registered club for every metric tonne sold when a farmer or agent nominates them at the time of contracting with us.

We recognise the critical role these clubs and groups play in supporting the health and wellbeing of regional communities by keeping them active and connected.

  • Donation comes at no cost to the farmer
  • Clubs must register with us to participate in the programme, subject to our approval
  • Farmers must nominate the club at time of contracting
  • In order to nominate, contracting must be done by contacting our accumulation team on 1300 453 626
  • The farmer does not need to be a member of the club to nominate
  • Agents can nominate clubs on farmers’ behalf
  • Accrued funds are paid annually
