Bunge’s Palm Oil Traceability and Monitoring Program Highlighted in Partner Blog

Bunge’s palm oil traceability and monitoring efforts were recently featured in a long-form blog post by Esri, a company that offers geographic information system software to companies. Esri is a partner of Bunge’s and came to the team last year for details on our industry-leading approach.

The article, Inside Bunge’s Traceability and Monitoring Platform, explains how Bunge “combines satellite monitoring with supplier engagement to verify palm oil supply chains.” The blog story also highlights how Bunge built the model the industry uses to monitor deforestation-free palm oil sourcing—seven years before the European Union Deforestation Regulation (EUDR), which is scheduled to be implemented in December 2026.

As a result of our work, Bunge:

Tijs Lips, Tropical Oils Sustainability Manager, and Pitt Onn Wong, Malaysia Tropical Oils Sustainability Manager, contributed their expertise and were interviewed by the Esri team.
